Sophie Charvill Wells - Veterinary Nurse
Sophie Charvill Wells RVN Veterinary Nurse

Sophie has spent her whole veterinary career at Maltman Cosham! She began as an animal care assistant in 2017, and went on to complete her diploma in small animal veterinary nursing via an apprenticeship. She hopes to continue learning and focus on her interest in feline medical nursing.

She spent time at university completing an undergraduate degree in English and American Literature, and then went on to study a post graduate certificate in primary education. After three years spent teaching in West Sussex schools, her adoption of the school hamster, Fluff, lead her to pursue a passion for animal care.

Sophie has hand-reared a succession of stray kittens whilst working at the practice and finally succumbed to a pair, who now reside with her and her partner on a farm! Babs and Nigel really landed on their paws!

She has spent time in the animal charity sector, volunteering at a cat and rabbit rescue centre and nursing as part of a team out in Greece running a trap, neuter, return campaign. She hopes to continue helping with such projects in the future.

Spare time is filled with walking, travelling and live music with friends and family, as well as plenty of cat cuddles
