Katherine Filby

Katherine qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2012 after training at Brinsbury and Plumpton College. After completing her A Levels at the Weald School in Billingshurst, she started work at Farthings Veterinary Group where she worked for 7 years. She is trained as a Clinical Coach to help train Student Veterinary Nurses. She moved to Maltman Cosham in 2015 after returning from maternity leave.
 
She has developed a keen interest in surgical nursing, peri-operative patient care and assisting with surgical procedures. Since qualifying Kat has taken a keen interest in renal patients and has developed her knowledge to enable her to provide the best care possible to these patients. Kat would like to do the Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in the future.

Kat has lived in West Sussex all her life and lives with her young daughters as well as Bear the Border Collie, Buddy the mongrel and a few other furry friends! She enjoys walking her dogs, swimming and snowboarding in her spare time.
