Excellent and compassionate veterinary care to our clients
Maltman Cosham Veterinary Clinic was originally founded in March 2011. In 2018 Maltman Cosham became part of Independent Vet Care and is now lead by Hannah West, Clinical Director, having started working at the practice back 2012. Hannah is perfectly placed in the role, having grown up and lived in Horsham all her life and is committed, along with the rest of the team, in providing outstanding care for clients and patients, with integrity and compassion, tailored to each individual patient and their owner.
Outstanding care – We constantly strive to progress both our knowledge and facilities, in order to provide clients and patients with outstanding care
Integrity – We believe in continuity of care, in order to build relationships based on trust and honesty
Compassion – We Treat all pets as if they were our own
Hannah is joined by the Veterinary Surgeons: Lindley Stewart, Clare Newton, Poppy Winter, Becky Pritchard, Catia Paglierani, Anna Etherton, Beth Ellis, Joanna East and Megan Vaughan.
Referrals to specialist centres can be made if required, however, we offer a wide range of services in house and have several vets with additional Certificates, including Small Animal Medicine and Cardiology. Please speak to one of our Veterinary Surgeons, who will be best placed to advise you of the treatment options, available to your pet for their condition.
There are also separate dog and cat wards for hospitalisation and isolation facilities.
We are extremely proud of the positive feedback we have received from our clients.
The practice is open Monday to Saturday for routine appointments with our vets, for our opening times and if you have an emergency out of hours.
We are fortunate to have a fantastic team of friendly and highly qualified veterinary nurses, who are happy to provide you with advice on the telephone or in the clinic at a nurse appointment. To find out more about our team and the services provided at Maltman Cosham visit our staff page.
We are a RCVS accredited practice and a silver level cat friendly practice awarded by International Cat Care (formerly Feline Advisory Bureau)
One of the biggest concerns for pet owners is wanting to be able to see the same vet when they visit the clinic. At Maltman Cosham we encourage continuty of care for our patients so we can provide the best possible care for you and your pets.
If you would like to see a specific vet who has been taking care of your pet we will do everything we can to arrange this for you. We do encourage having two vets that you like to see so that if one of those vets is on holiday you have a second choice.
Our team of Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses and Receptionists work extremely hard to make every visit to Maltman Cosham Veterinary Clinic as easy as possible for you and your pet. We want both you and your pet to feel relaxed and welcome when you visit so please let us know if we can do anything to ensure this is the case for you and your pet.
If you would like to speak to a Veterinary Nurse for advice you can call the practice. Equally if you would rather email you can do so by clicking here, if it is a particular nurse you would like to contact then please mark the email for their attention.
If you need a vet outside of normal opening hours then please call the clinic and follow the directions on the answerphone.
Emergencies outside of normal opening hours will be dealt with by the out of hours veterinary service at Seers Croft veterinary practice. They are the only practice locally to offer a dedicated night team seperate from their day staff with veterinary staff on site 24 hours a day.
Please note that out of hours, the vets do not have full access to the administrative software so if you are looking to book a routine appointment or pay a bill please call during normal opening hours.
